First, an announcement! HDPL is now on MySpace, so check us out and add us if you like! With the addition of the MySpace blog, we are going to be changing the purpose of the Teen Spot Blog (the one you are reading now)! In the future, we will start posting book reviews here, and all of the library happenings will show up on our MySpace blog. We still want YOU to help us with these reviews, and we'd love to give you a voice here on our website. If you are interested in contributing, please e mail Jessica Sullenberger (that's me) at jdsullenberger@hdpl.org. Contributors must be between the ages of 12 and 17.
I do have one last announcement before we switch gears. Tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. at Green Valley Library, we are having a Fall Fashion Preview. A student from the International Academy of Design and Technology is going to talk to us about what's hot for the fall season. Even better, he's going to teach us how to forecast trends by keeping up with news, pop culture, politics, and more. I am very excited about this program, and I hope that some of you are, too! Please come to the library a few minutes before the program starts so we can begin on time! Light refreshments will be provided.
