A Look Back: Teen Tech Week

We're looking back at all the awesome programs Henderson Libraries held for 2016's Teen Tech Week!

Saturday, March 5th – Introduction to video Game Design with TechBrainiacs (Green Valley Library)
This workshop presented by Jeremy Bruner from TechBrainiacs served as an introduction to the world of game design using the Gamestar Mechanic web-based software.
Monday, March 7th – Mario Kart Tournament (Paseo Verde Library)

Tuesday, March 8th – 4-Wheel Balloon Cars (Green Valley Library)
Participants built their very own 4-Wheel Balloon Car and tested it against various challenges.

Wednesday, March 9th – DJing 101 (Gibson Library)
Under the direction of "The Mashup King" teens learned the basics of getting started, as well as how to hook up the equipment and the basic functions of mixing and set building.
Thursday, March 10th – Life-Sized Board Game: Sorry! (Paseo Verde Library)
Friday, March 11th – Minecraft LEGO Challenge (Gibson Library)
Using LEGOs, challengers completed a variety of 5 to 10 minute challenges.

Friday, March 11th – FAC + Super Smash Bros. (Green Valley Library)
Teens played Super Smash Bros. while enjoying some delicious snacks and beverages.

Saturday, March 12th – Peep Dioramas (Gibson Library)
Patrons constructed fun and creative dioramas out of chick and bunny peeps.

Saturday, March 12th – Glow in the Dark After-Hours Party (Green Valley Library)
Teens and tweens enjoyed a variety of glow-in-the-dark activities, crafts and games including: a glow-in-the-dark confession wall, tic-tac-glow, twister, neon truth or dare, hide-and-seek and glow paint t-shirts.
